REEL Z’ s ONE STRIKE POLICY (VERY IMPORTANT!)

Lets face it folks, this is not the baseball field. We are not sports people, nor are we umpires.

With that said let us explain what this policy is, and why we do it, and most importantly what the results are.

At Reel Z we know were not Hollywood, were not even ” a big fish in a small pond” to quote one of our DPS. We simply do not let that stop us from acting and conducting ourselves in a professional manner. We all work on no budget constraints, often with little sleep, hardly any gas in the tank, and doing whatever we can to make the vision come true. We do it for the love, the thrill, and the chance to be a part of a great team, not for the million dollar paycheck that we never see,

At Reel Z we welcome EVERYONE, it does not matter if your a student, a hairdresser, or a bus driver. If you have a passion for movies, and making visions come to life, then that is all that is required to join our team. We do our best on set to train people, and to educate them in a “real world” environments.

When someone acts unprofessionally, it makes us all look bad, As an industry Independent filmmaking is tough, and we can never be as “shiny” as the boys in LA with their large checkbooks. Therefore it is paramount (see the joke there) that we hold ourselves to a higher standard. This does not mean we cannot have fun on a set. We often have very relaxed on set and off set environments. We do this because if your not having fun, then whats the point of being here!

When you signup to be involved with our company, you are making a commitment to uphold yourself professionally, to communicate with us any problems you may have, and to be a part of a team.

If you for any reason do not communicate, fail to show up at required meetings or events, or just plain do not show interest in our company, then you have received your “one strike”. If this happens you will be placed on our “black list” and we will not work with you again… ever… under any circumstance. While it is not our job to tell others of this, from time to time we do get asked for recommendations by others in the industry. If this happens we will simply say “we do not work with this individual at Reel Z”.

We hope this never happens, but to many times it has, and our list gets longer. Now without making this all doom and gloom be aware that so many wonderful professionals in this area are on our “white list” and we see their faces again and again (sometimes to much lol).

This was not meant to be corporate, and was written by me the director (Jay Harris) of the company, not my PR people. I wanted to be up front with you all from the beginning so there are no surprises.

Thank you for your time, and respect for your fellow team members and our company. Honor it and you will not regret it!

ADDITIONAL NOTES FOR DOWN STREAM CAST AND CREW (READ CAREFULLY)

Down Stream is a feature film, it is full length and will require a substantial time and labor commitment from all involved. Every member of the production that is PAID (COMPENSATED MONETARILY) will be asked to sign a legal binding contract. This contract will stipulate the terms and payment of each persons specific role. This contract will also protect the production from any damages to the film from people backing out and not showing up to fulfill their obligations. your signature (electronic) on this contract is your binding word that you will be where you are supposed to be and not cause any hiccups. So many productions have failed in the past from the smallest thing and we as a company will not take that risk. No contract= no role in the film (cast or crew). If you are an unpaid (working for credit) member of our team then the above policy (one-strike) applies to you, and we ask you to be respectful and communicate with us at all times if you are involved in this project.

Thank you
